Fee Guide – New

Keeping you safe during the Coronavirus pandemic

If you are a patient who is shielding, or you live with someone who is shielding, please let reception know when you book your appointment.

If you have a high temperature, continuous cough or are experiencing a loss of taste or smell (or someone in your household has these symptoms), we ask that you rebook your appointment before coming to the practice.

The clinipads will not be used until futher notice. For those who receive a text message or email reminder for their appointment, we would be very grateful if you could follow the link to update your medical history prior to the appointment.

We are putting in place a number of measures to adhere to social distancing. This includes changes to the way that you enter and exit the practice. Measures will be phased-down as the country eases lockdown.

• Please only enter the practice if you have an appointment.
• Our toilet facilities will not be in use.
• Patients should attend for their appointment alone (with the exception of children and patients in need of support from a carer or family member).
• If you are considered more vulnerable due to age, medical history, or you are shielding, we advise you to wear a face mask. The clinician will ask this to be removed only once you are in the treatment room.
• Only bring essential personal belongings with you to your appointment.
• There is a hand sanitation station at the entrance for you to use when you arrive.
• A distance of at least 2 metres must be observed if another patient is present at reception.
• On arrival our receptionist will ask you some questions and they will then ask you to wait outside, or in your car, until the clinician is ready.
• Following your appointment, our reception team will show you the treatment estimate for your confirmation. Treatment estimates can be emailed if we have an email address registered on the system.
• Card payments are preferable to cash.
• There are some restrictions on the type of treatments we are able to offer during the pandemic and we may need to rebook you for elective procedures. Our hygienists will be using hand instrumentation and patients will be given a polishing paste to use at home.

Depending on the treatment, the attire worn by nurses and clinicians may be very different to normal. Some procedures will require staff to wear full personal protective equipment, including a respirator and gown. I am acutely aware that many patients do not skip blissfully through the door of a dental practice (!) so, despite all the extra PPE, our aim is still to make your visit as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. For these procedures a PPE levy will be charged; as soon as we are able to step back from high-level PPE this fee will no longer be applicable.

Please clean your teeth before your appointment!
